Job Description

Credit Control:

  • Effective management of customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Performing credit checks on new customers and deciding on credit limits.
  • Reconciliation of accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Working collaboratively with the sales team to resolve customer issues.
  • Generating monthly reports on account statuses and debt age analysis.
  • Proactively identifying problematic accounts and implementing solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
  • Continual improvement of cash flow by chasing overdue invoices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • A strong academic background in Accounting or Finance.
  • Previous experience in a credit control or similar role in the retail industry.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
