Job Description

  • Credit Controller:
  • Managing customer accounts and ensuring prompt payment of invoices.
  • Conducting credit checks on new customers and agreeing terms of credit.
  • Resolving queries around payments and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Preparing statements, client status reports, and all relevant documentation.
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures for the effective control of debt.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to improve processes and reduce debtor days.
  • Regularly reviewing the company's credit control processes and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Complying with all internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Credit Controller' should have:

  • A robust understanding of credit control processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
