Job Description

  • Lead and manage the credit control team to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor customer accounts and oversee credit limits to minimise financial risk.
  • Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing disputes and customer queries.
  • Prepare accurate reports on aged debt and cash flow for senior management.
  • Provide training and support to team members to promote best practices in credit control.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the credit control process and recommend solutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Control Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar role in accounting and finance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Excellent understanding of credit management principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Great attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
