Job Description

The Commercial Solicitor will be involved in a range of work including;

  • Advising clients across a range of sectors including retail, manufacturing and technology
  • Drafting and negotiating high-value commercial, data, and IT contracts
  • Providing strategic legal advice on data protection and intellectual property issues
  • Working closely with clients to ensure compliance and risk management
  • Managing a varied caseload in a fast-paced and supportive environment
  • Supporting Partners on high value, complex work
  • Taking responsibility around business development

The Successful Applicant

The Commercial Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor with 2+ years PQE in commercial law, data protection, or IT law
  • Experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Knowledgeable in data protection laws (GDPR) and intellectual property
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Have ties to the Leeds area
  • Interested to work for a regional law firm
