Job Description

  • Provide commercial and financial advice to support business decisions.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities for categories through central management so that teams across commercial finance can respond to them on a timely basis.
  • Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present financial and non-financial information for management meetings.
  • Accurate and timely delivery of commercial margin and associated controls on a weekly / periodic basis.
  • Perform control requirements around key focus areas impacting the commercial P&L
  • Support in delivery of projects that have an impact on commercial margin.
  • Manage and enhance financial systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial policies.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Commercial Accountant' should have:

  • A recognised professional qualification in accounting or finance. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
