Job Description

  • Developing, leading and executing strategic procurement plans
  • Managing supplier relationships and monitoring their performance
  • Analysing market trends and applying this knowledge to procurement tasks
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with organisational policies
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-reduction measures
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs
  • Overseeing procurement projects and ensuring timely delivery
  • Supporting the development and implementation of procurement systems

The Successful Applicant

  • The ideal candidate for this Strategic Procurement role will have previous demonstrable experience of delivering Category plans for Capex Projects with an Industrial, Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret market trends
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and software
  • Strong project management skills
  • A professional or educational qualification relevant to procurement or qualified by experience
