Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant include:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in line with current accounting standards.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve reporting systems and processes.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of management reports and forecasts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Financial Accountant should be:

  • Working towards recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
