Job Description

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address payment and invoicing queries.
  • Prepare reports related to accounts payable activities as required.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements within the department.
  • Ensuring KPIs are achieved

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Officer should have:

  • Experience in complex accounts payable within a multi currency environment
  • Ideally previous experience within the financial services industry
  • Studying for a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT etc)
  • Strong knowledge of double entry is essential
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
  • Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and queries.
