Our client is recruiting for an accounts payable clerk to start as soon as possible. This is a temporary ongoing role based in Ilkeston.

Job Description

  • Manage and maintain the accounts payable function within the team
  • Process invoices, reconcile supplier statements and deal with payment queries
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Compile and sort invoices and checks
  • Prepare analysis of accounts
  • Provide timely response to all vendor inquiries
  • Support the wider finance team as required

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • A background in Accounting & Finance
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience in a similar role within the retail industry
