About Our Client

The client is a private equity backed renewable energy company specialising in creating district heating and cooling networks in the UK.

Job Description

  • Performing Accounts Payable activities at month-end, including closing the ledger. Ensure all month-end processes are completed accurately and timely.
  • Management of all supplier queries, making sure those are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations
  • Create proposal for supplier payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform supplier account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process unmatched invoices to maintain an accurate accounts payable ledger.
  • Reconcile credit cards statements to ensure compliance and accuracy in all credit card transactions.
  • Propose initiatives to improve payment processes.

The Successful Applicant

The successful accounts payable should have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
