Job Description

Accounts Assistant

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate customer invoices and monitor payments.
  • Chase overdue accounts and maintain an accurate debtors ledger.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with managing petty cash and employee expenses.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the accounting system.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
  • Understanding of data privacy standards
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • A detail-oriented approach with strong analytical skills
