Job Description

Accounts Assistant

  • Processing invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensuring all bank transactions are recorded and reconciled daily.
  • Assisting in monitoring and reporting cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Following up on overdue payments and maintaining customer relationships professionally.
  • Assisting with payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Supporting the finance team with month-end closing tasks, journal entries, and financial reporting

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A strong understanding of accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Relevant educational qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
