Job Description

  • Manage and lead the womenswear design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that align with the brand's aesthetic.
  • Stay ahead of fashion trends and translate these into innovative and trend-led designs.
  • Collaborate with celebrities and influencers to create unique styles.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure a cohesive product range.
  • Present design ideas and final ranges to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to budget and time constraints.
  • Foster a creative and positive environment within the design team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Design Manager should have:

  • A degree or equivalent in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • A design handwriting adaptable to popular fast-fashion dresses, tops, outerwear etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of working with wovens, jerseys, knits, trims, etc.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and similar.
  • A strong understanding of the fashion retail industry and current trends.
  • Ability to forge close working partnerships with popular social media influencers, media personalities, etc.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills and highly adaptable.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to influence key business decisions.
