Michael Page are working with an organisation in the Not for Profit and Charities sector, based in Cheshire, who are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant on a part time temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have experience processing transactions and supporting the wider team with ad hoc activities.

The role is to perform the Accounts Payable Assistant activities for the business unit in Widnes. You will be responsible for the processing, payment and allocation of all invoices and other ad-hoc duties. Ensuring that all activities are completed accurately and on a timely basis, whilst providing an excellent level of customer service to both our internal and external customers.

This role involves client liaison, account management and business development. You will be working under 2 Directors and have the autonomy to drive your own development.

This key leadership position reports to the Finance Director, overseeing financial controls, compliance, and external stakeholder management while ensuring accurate and timely reporting across all areas. The role requires a technically strong, qualified accountant with leadership experience to manage financial operations, tax, cash flow, and audits, while also driving continuous improvement and business partnering with senior leadership.

As a Client Manager, you will be getting involved in a variety of different aspects of the practice. This includes managing your own diverse portfolio of roughly £150-250k worth of fee's. There is also the opportunity to work as an outsourced Finance Director with your clients to develop their entrepreneurial growth.
