Job Description

The role of Warehouse Shift Leader in Coventry will involve:

  • Working Monday to Friday 16:00-00:00.
  • Ensure the smooth running of goods-in, stock control, pick/pack and put-away.
  • Manage the safe loading of vehicles on dispatch.
  • Ensure the team work to and exceed KPI targets and report performance.
  • Managing the team performance effectively with good communication and clear instructions.
  • Monitoring Health & Safety and conducting regular checks.
  • Handle disciplinary matters in a professional manner.
  • Manage holidays and staffing levels on the shift.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Warehouse Shift Leader should have:

  • Team management experience.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse processes (inbound, stock control, put-away, pick/pack and dispatch).
  • Excellent IT skills inc. WMS and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.
  • A good understanding of staff performance management.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
