Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsMy client in Portsmouth is looking for a Project Accountant.Excellent salary and benefits (hybrid working) to the successful candidate.About Our ClientMy client is a Private Equity backed global professional services business, with this site based on the outskirts of Portsmouth.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver on the following types of projects which will vary over time:Documentation and roll-out of the actuals cashflow reporting process across the R2R teams globally, ensuring effective reporting and controls in place within a complex Group structureWorking with FP&A and Group Finance Reporting team to design and develop a robust monthly cashflow statement for each of the 5 key business streams and tracker tool to capture movements from ledger to stakeholder reportingDeveloping internal control and governance processes for Balance Sheet reconciliation open item tracking to closure, and identify improvements in overall balance sheet integrityWorking with offshore finance, working capital teams and R2R, review reconciliation of source to ERP system process, identify cash allocation process improvements, KPI's and provide coaching to embed internal controlsSupport on accounting aspects of tax projectsSupport on other adhoc projects as requiredSupport the refresh of the IFRS9 ECL provisions across the Group for year end reportingSupport primarily the EMEA Finance R2R and Group Finance teams in maintaining a strong external audit interface, audit progress and provision of high quality, accurate deliverables from audit inception to closure on a day-day basis. Oversee implementing recommendations and closure of findings.Support embedding an internal financial controls framework across core financePerform other duties as assigned.The Successful ApplicantFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) ideally from a chartered accountancy background and experience of working on complex international businesses would be idealSolid knowledge of accounting principles, working experience of IFRS and auditing proceduresDeep understanding of finance processes and workflowsAffinity with accounting systems.
