Leading a small, although highly effective, team, activities will range from managing the coordination of procurement and contract management activities, liaising with the individual business areas to provide sound procurement advice.Providing strategic procurement advice across all levels and departments of the organisation to inform decision makingEnsuring the procurement activity is compliant in relation to UK procurement law (Procurement Act 2015) and represents best practiceYou will be a strong stakeholder manager with commercial awareness and strong negotiating skillsDevelop and implement effective procurement strategiesManage supplier relationships and negotiate contractsEnsure compliance with procurement policies and proceduresLead, develop and motivate the procurement teamMonitor supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations are metWork closely with other departments to forecast future supply needsContinually identify opportunities to improve procurement processesMaintain accurate records of purchases and pricingThe Successful ApplicantA successful Procurement Manager should have:A Procurement Industry related Professional Qualification (MCIPS, CIPS, Logistics and supply chain MSc or equivalent similar) or working experience towardsProven experience in a similar role within the Not For Profit / Public Sector and you must have full knowledge of Procurement Act 2015Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a teamExceptional negotiation skills and the ability to develop relationships with suppliersA good understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systemsExcellent analytical and strategic thinking skillsWhat's on OfferAn annual salary range up to c £51,000 + excellent benefitsA supportive and inclusive company cultureThe opportunity to make a real difference in the communityThe organisation offers a platform to grow and excel in your career.
