Job Description

  • Implement effective purchasing strategies across the company.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for favourable terms and pricing.
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
  • Develop a strategic approach for procurement and material management.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Ensure adherence to laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of the Procurement team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Buyer should have:

  • A degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong negotiation and networking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analysing data.
