Job Description

  • Plan and execute people plan activity, in support of the overarching workforce strategy and associated activity
  • Work with business leaders to understand functional workforce opportunities and feed these into the development of the strategic people plan
  • Facilitate talent review / people planning discussions with leadership team for the Region / division feeding the outputs of these back into the overall strategic people plan.
  • Coach and challenge leaders to develop high performing talent, driving an inclusive culture and improving colleague engagement
  • Deliver or support cyclical people, talent, performance and reward activity across the region or function
  • Be a visible advocate for our diversity, equity and inclusion agenda developing and delivering sustainable interventions that create a more representative workforce
  • Work with ER to support effective employee relations across the region / function
  • Plan and execute centrally driven people initiatives (e.g. changes to goal setting, and performance management or any other people plan activities)
  • Track and monitor progress of the people against agreed targets and measures. Analyses functional people data to support the development of the strategic people plans for each function. Use this data to drive further decision making.
  • Drive improvements in key performance metrics as contained in the functional scorecard.
  • Track and monitor progress of delivery against agreed targets and measures

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven track record as a People / HR Business Partner in fast-paced, complex, commercial organisations
  • Relevant combination of people partnering knowledge skills and experience or CIPD Level 5
  • Experience of creating and delivering people plans in partnerships with CoE's, leading delivery through cross functional teams
    OR in Retail this may be about creating people solutions or outcomes in partnership with our CoE's, and leading activation across zonal or regional geographies
  • Strong influencing, partnering and relationship building skills, working with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business to build trusted relationships
  • Talent management experience
  • Experience of enabling and delivering significant business change / transformation
  • Strong data skills, able to identify / analyse and draw insight from data to help inform decision making



Organisational design / effectiveness experience in the context of a business partnering role
