Originally the business started out as an investment manager and hasnow developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the clientrelationship.Today they manage and advise on over £4.5 billion of client assets, acquired through a combinationof organic business growth and corporate acquisitions.Job DescriptionThe role will report to the Director of Wealth Operations, and the key areas of the role are as follows:Day to day management of ParaplannersTracking paraplanners competency and training needsRunning quarterly reviews for your direct reportsPerform end of year remuneration review meetingsTraining team members and supporting their developmentProduce and analyse management informationActively manage and take responsibility for the performance to your teamUndertake peer reviews for the paraplanning team, provide feedback and identify areas for further training/developmentRunning and maintaining the Paraplanner bonus schemeGetting involved in project work to further improve our systems and processesReviewing and documenting proceduresMaintaining templates and toolsAnalyse client information and existing investments/plansMaintain a level of paraplanning work to support as overflow for the teamTax calculations (IHT/CGT/bonds etc)Construct appropriate solutions for clients in conjunction with the advisersWrite suitability reports for cases of varying complexityRun Cashflow models for clientsBe a point of contact for technical queries for CS and advisersCommunicating with clients on research and report time scalesAttend client meetings where requiredResponsibilitiesEnsure all work completed by yourself and your team is accurate and completed to a high standardWork with the Paraplanners in your team to develop them and ensure they have the support they need to progressKeep clear and up to date records relating to the management of your teamEnsure your team is hitting appropriate targets and deadlinesTake responsibility for the for the management information provided by your teams to ensure it is accurate and up to date. Think client when you are writing a report to ensure the report is client friendly and easy to digestTaking ownership of the clients experience by ensuring you effectively manage your cases throughout the processEnsure all e-mails, research documents and report drafts are saved to our file storage system with meaningful titlesThe Successful ApplicantCompleted, or be well on their way to completing their Level 6 Advanced Diploma in regulated Financial PlanningDemonstrate a strong technical knowledge and understanding of all financial productsExperience within the financial services industry and have had at least 5 years Paraplanning experienceExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writingAbility to communicate effectively with departments across the business as well as clientsEnsuring you are a good role model to other members of the team by being proactive and positiveBeing comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment that experiences lots of developments and changesBe organised and able to manage a busy workloadBeing a good team player and offering to help the team where you canConfident in running training sessions/meetingsHappy to share knowledge and experience with the wider teamHave strong IT skills; experience of Curo, FE Analytics and Voyant advantageousTake responsibility for your own development including being aware of your knowledge gaps and actively working to close these gapsWhat's on OfferAn excellent salary and benefits package is available to the successful candidate.
