About Our Client
The end client is a growing payments firm who are currently going through an EMI application process. They are now entering their final phase and are keen to hire a MLRO / EMI Application SME to assist the company.This is a temporary role, based in Central London. The successful candidate will be required to come to the offices 3 days a week, close to Bank station.
Job Description
MLRO / EMI Application SME, London
- Oversee the application process for Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licensing.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial crime risks.
- Conduct thorough internal audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with teams across the company to promote a robust compliance culture.
- Manage and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies.
- Prepare compliance reports for the senior management team.
- Train and mentor junior team members in compliance procedures and standards.
The Successful Applicant
A successful MLRO - EMI Application SME should have:
- Proven experience in risk and compliance, particularly within a payments firm
- Experience in handling EMI licensing applications.
- An in-depth understanding of financial crime intelligence.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
