Job Description

  • Manage and maintain stock levels to optimise sales
  • Work closely with the buying team to forecast trends and manage inventory
  • Create and implement merchandising plans and standards
  • Analyse sales reports and market trends
  • Ensure product presentation is consistent and in line with brand guidelines
  • Identify potential supplier issues and propose solutions
  • Coordinate with the retail department to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets

The Successful Applicant

A successful Merchandiser should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of merchandise planning principles and high numeracy levels
  • Established merchandisert with WSSI planning and exposure to OTB
  • Prior experience in an product planning role in a retail head office role
  • Exceptional analytical and forecasting abilities within retail
  • Proficiency in using retail software and inventory management systems
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach
