This is a hands-on Management Accountant role with variety, visibility, and ownership. You'll lead month-end, partner with ops, and help track and drive project performance.

A multi-site UK business operating in a fast-moving, project-led environment. With recent investment in process and systems improvement, they're growing their finance team to support stronger performance insight and control.

Job Description

  • Prepare full Management Accounts to strict monthly deadlines
  • Own key balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules
  • Track project performance - actuals vs forecast, margins, variances
  • Liaise with operations to review sales forecasts and plans
  • Support budgeting cycles and CAPEX business case modelling
  • Create and maintain control spreadsheets and financial models
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts and track working capital impact
  • Assist in year-end, audit prep and statutory compliance
  • Provide financial input to tenders and project bids
  • Help drive continuous improvements and support system migration

The Successful Applicant

  • Part or fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Proven background in preparing management accounts
  • Strong Excel skills - modelling, pivots, lookups as minimum
  • Able to explain finance to non-finance stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and operational understanding
  • Comfortable managing deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Experience with Sage 200 a plus
  • Any project accounting or bid/tender experience is an advantage
