They are a medium sized organisation who are committed to supporting the growth of young people. As an organisation they are looking to grow in size. They are looking for an Interim Finance Business Manager to work in partnership with internal stakeholders and having responsibility for the finance management of schools by maximising income generation. Job DescriptionFinancial Management & BudgetingMonitor and track academy budgets, providing accurate, real-time budget positions to leadership.Lead budgeting efforts with Headteachers/Principals and the Director of Finance, aligning financial planning with educational goals.Oversee income sources (e.g., catering, nursery, lettings) and identify new funding opportunities to support academy growth.Reporting & CompliancePrepare and review monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Trust policies.Support year-end financial processes, liaising with internal and external auditors as required.Ensure adherence to the Academies Handbook and Trust financial regulations, reporting non-compliance issues promptly.Strategic Financial GuidanceCollaborate with the Director of Finance to evaluate and enhance internal controls.Monitor and manage contracts with the Contracts and Procurement's Officer to ensure compliance, value, and timely renewal.Assist senior leaders in optimising staffing structures in line with financial guidelines.Payroll & ReconciliationConduct monthly payroll reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in partnership with the central HR team.The Successful ApplicantStrong experience in financial management, budgeting, and compliance, ideally within an educational or public sector environment.Proven ability to manage multiple income sources and identify additional funding streams.Excellent analytically skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both finance and non-finance professionals.Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team, ensuring day-to-day operations align with Trust standards and SLAs.What's on Offer- Day rate, £300 per day inside IR35- Flexible hybrid working - 3-6 month assignmentContactPhoebe WaddicorQuote job refJN-102024-6577173Phone number+44 113 243 7741Job summaryJob functionNot for ProfitSubsectorFinance ManagerSectorNot For ProfitLocationLeedsContract typeTemporaryConsultant namePhoebe WaddicorConsultant phone+44 113 243 7741Job referenceJN-102024-6577173
