About Our Client

Our client is a housing provider housing across eight regions in the UK. Working in partnership with several of the UK's leading homelessness service providers, they aim to eradicate homelessness in the UK.

Job Description

  • To maintain internal control and to support Group strategy, prepare and generate group consolidated financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Take charge of the accounting for the group and its subsidiaries, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly statutory and management reports.
  • Examine group accounting procedures to ensure that the underlying accounting records are kept to audit standards and that any known risks of noncompliance are appropriately reported.
  • Create and maintain a strong financial control environment that includes strong balance sheet management and review processes.
  • Manage the group treasury function by producing and issuing data and reconciling monthly settlements, as well as monitoring monthly inter company cash settlement processes.
  • Assist with group consolidated forecasts and the annual budget, including variance explanations.
  • Assist with yearly group audits and corporate tax filings, including computing tax figures, quarterly tax instalment payments, and VAT returns.
  • Assist Management with UK tax planning, restructuring, reorganisation, and new commercial contracts

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven substantial experience in group consolidations
  • Controls and consolidation accounting, including acquisitions, equity accounting, inter company eliminations.
  • Individual who is self-motivated and conscientious, with commercial awareness and an appreciation of the influence financial accounting operations can have on the larger firm.

What's on Offer

  • £65,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
