Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsExciting opportunity for HR BP to join Jewish non-profit institutionHybrid working, 2 days in north London officeAbout Our ClientOur client is a not-for-profit Jewish institution in North LondonJob DescriptionThe role of HR Business Partner will be responsible for:§ Providing advice to management and staff on a wide range of employment matters.§ Assisting managers in managing their staff in accordance with policies and procedures including coaching managers to help them improve their people management skills.§ Supporting managers in the recruitment of staff, (whether permanent, fixed term or temporary), through advising on job descriptions and advertisements, responding to applicants and conducting interviews where required in line with the Recruitment Guidelines§ Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits. § Draft and update HR policies and procedures and the employee handbook as required.§ Prepare appointment letters and contracts of employment for permanent, temporary, and casual staff as required and ensuring that DBS and other checks are carried out by the HR Administrators as necessary.§ Monitor employee sickness and absence levels, working with line managers to ensure levels are kept to a minimum, including preparing reports, extracting data from the CoreHR computerised personnel system.§ Work with the Head of HR to manage change projects, supporting managers and employees for restructuring, redundancy and TUPE issues.§ Assist the HR Director to devise and monitor HR planning strategies that take into account immediate and long-term employee requirements. § Improve capability and effectiveness across designated parts of the organisation including assisting the L&D and OD Manager in the delivery of induction training to new employees; designing and delivering on management development programs/people management courses; analysing training and development needs in conjunction with managers and other colleagues or external training providers; provide appropriate solutions or interventions; managing and monitoring the annual appraisal system including coaching and managers to help them improve their people management skills.§ Type correspondence; draft response letters; respond to requests for references from other employers and mortgage companies etc.§ Monitor and input information on to the HR database to ensure that employee records are up to date and to maintain relevant paper filing systems for the designated parts of the organisation that he/she is responsible for.§ Collate and prepare the payroll documentation ready for each monthly payroll.§ Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.§ The job holder will work as a team with the other HR Business Partners and will cover for them in their absence.The Successful ApplicantA successful HR Business Partner should have:CIPD qualificationPrevious position as a HR BP role within a non-profit organisationKnowledge in dealing with and resolving a range of complex employment issuesManaging professional relationships with managers and employees at all levelsKnowledge analysing learning and development needs, designing and delivering training sessionsDriving licenceTo be available for appropriate training as requiredKnowledge of the Jewish communityWhat's on OfferA salary of up to £51,000 (increasing to £53,000 following successful probation)20 days holiday, plus Statutory Bank Holidays plus Jewish festivals when they fall on a normal working dayAuto Enrolment PensionBirthday leaveHybrid working, 2 days per week in North London officeContactKaty SimmondsQuote job refJN-102024-6577831Phone number+44 207 645 1439Job summaryJob functionHuman ResourcesSubsectorHR Business PartnerSectorNot For ProfitLocationNorth LondonContract typePermanentConsultant nameKaty SimmondsConsultant phone+44 207 645 1439Job referenceJN-102024-6577831
