Job Description

  • Review and appraise the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls, and timeliness of documentation generation.
  • Conduct risk assessment of all departments, identifying areas of key risk and developing audit scope and work programmes.
  • Perform audit procedures to verify that controls are operating effectively.
  • Prepare and present reports reflecting audit results and document process.
  • Engage with stakeholders to make recommendations on business and process improvements.
  • Monitor the implementation of recommendations and management's response.
  • Coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Internal Auditor should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of audit methodologies and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with both financial and non-financial employees.
