Job Description

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports.
  • Manage budgets and financial systems within the organisation.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the organisation's managers.
  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Lead internal and external audits, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's strategic financial objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA).
  • Relevant experience within Charities (SORP).
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in major accounting software programs (Unit 4 ERP System).
  • Proficiency in Excel (Modelling etc.)
  • Experience in overseeing external audits.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Integrity and confidentiality.
