Exciting opportunity for a Director FX Sales for a a UK-based FX/CFD broker headquartered in Manchester

Reporting directly to the board, the Regional Sales Director will be responsible for leading and managing the sales strategy and operations across the UK market. This role demands a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record in the forex brokerage industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent management skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive sales and revenue growth. They will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence in the UK and contributing to senior management decisions.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share in the UK FX market.
  • Client Relationship Management: Leverage and expand your professional network to build strong, long-lasting relationships with professional individual and institutional clients, including banks, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use insights to inform strategic decisions and sales tactics.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and increase market penetration.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop and manage accurate sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate sales team performance, providing regular feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of sales efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and network with industry leader

The Successful Applicant

Essential skills/requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics preferable, a master's degree or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the FX industry or a related financial services sector.
  • Strong professional network within the UK financial sector, including established relationships with key decision makers.
  • Proven track record in a business development role within the Foreign Exchange or Financial Services industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in trading Shares, CFDs, and FX.
  • Proficiency with financial sector operations and FX trading software software such as Meta Quotes and bridge technology.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Must be driven to achieve set sales targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional written, oral communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced result-driven sales environment
