The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets for our client's products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in business development and a deep understanding of the tissue or related consumer goods industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, coupled with a proven ability to drive business growth.

Job Description



  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales and growth objectives.
    • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate these markets.


  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Generate leads, build a robust sales pipeline, and convert prospects into customers.
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals for tissue products.
    • Develop and manage pricing strategies and contracts to maximise profitability.


  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients.
    • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.


  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to share market insights, customer feedback, and best practices.
    • Participate in product development discussions and provide input based on market demands and customer feedback.


  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Track and report on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on business development progress and opportunities.
    • Analyse sales data and market trends to refine business development strategies.



The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role selling products into a B2B environment
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
