Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full accounting function from transactional level up to board level reporting
  • Manage and oversee a transactional team of 4 direct reports
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) working closely with operations and non-finance stakeholders to enhance business performance
  • Oversee banking and financing relationships (loans, invoice discounting, asset finance, budget modelling)
  • Liaise with external auditors on financial matters
  • Manage key purchasing activities, including utilities and capital expenditure
  • Oversee payroll operations
  • Provide oversight for IT systems and infrastructure
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as per business and role growth



The Successful Applicant

Candidate Requirements:

  • Accounting qualification (or equivalent experience), with 3-5 years post-qualification experience - ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Commercial finance background with strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills displayed
  • Proactive and ambitious, eager to grow the role and contribute to business development
  • Opportunity to gain exposure to acquisitions and site investments
  • A willingness to work cross-functionally to drive business improvement
  • Experience in manufacturing / engineering settings / small batch, or project-based businesses
  • Proficient in SAGE 200 and Excel; Power BI experience is desirable
