The Assistant Financial Accountant will support the Accounting & Finance department in a retail environment by assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger tasks. Job Description

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Support the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for internal review.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to meet deadlines.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Financial Accountant should have:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
