They are committed to making sure each person feels empowered to bring their best self to work every day.Job DescriptionThis is an outstanding opportunity to lead and develop a motivated, high-performing warehouse shift team within a modern, purpose-built facility-shaping day-to-day operations from the ground up.You will drive operational excellence by managing people and resources effectively, ensuring productivity and accuracy targets are consistently met, maintaining rigorous health, safety and compliance standards. You will:Uphold a People First culture, fostering inclusion and collaboration across the team.Plan and control labour resources to meet shift KPIs within budget, including managing breaks and shift preparations considering forecasts, holidays, and absences. Ensuring units per hour (UPMH) meet or exceed the agreed target.Establish smooth handovers with documented productivity, accuracy, and issues.Hold daily shift briefings and be visible to the team.Ensure all team members are trained, competent, and multi-skilled, using the training matrix to track progress and complete all required documentation.Manage probation reviews, appraisals, and disciplinary or grievance procedures as required.Proactively seek to identify operational problems, suggest improvements, and implement necessary changes.Deputise for Assistant Operations Managers when required.Implement immediate improvement plans to enhance productivity and utilisation.Complete daily shift reports and provide feedback to internal customers such as customer services and field managers.Ensure compliance with company policies, MBUK values, and relevant legislation including absence management and Working Time Directive.Work closely with the Health & Safety Team to ensure full compliance with legislation and internal KPI standards.
