About Our Client

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP/ Manager to join the Asset Management team of a prominent private investment firm here in London with a primary focus on Insolvency and Restructuring. Our client invests in the capital structure across European asset-backed opportunities.

Job Description



In brief you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and compliance guidelines while providing strategic recommendations for asset protection and enhancement.
  • Leading the due diligence, performance and legal documentation, aswell as lead on the overall loan administration
  • Preparation of recommendations for asset protection / enhancement strategies
  • Monitoring cash and loan reconciliation reports and be the first point of contact for resolution and escalation
  • You will be drafting and working closely with solicitors to draft enforcement step plans and implement if required, as such, you will be the point of contact and liaison with solicitors, valuers, agents and advisors
  • Preparation and recommendations for asset protection / enhancement strategies
  • Monitor cash and loan reconciliation reports and be the first point of contact for resolution and escalation
  • Develop asset management strategies with distressed borrowers to assist them in turning around their business to maximise return and manage the implementation of approved strategies (e.g. agreed deadlines / KPI's).
  • Recommend asset management strategies which involves re-gearing leases, purchase, and development of new security, preparing / evaluating cashflow forecasts, capital expenditure requirement and variance analysis

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered:

  • The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience within Restructuring or Insolvency
  • Candidates coming from an Insolvency Practice would be of interest to our client but will consider coming from other Asset Managers or banking background.
  • Prior experience with enforcements is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be persistent, organised and able to prioritise and multitask
  • Proficient in excel and have a profound understanding of investment ratios - must have strong Credit writing skills
  • Client-focused, detail-driven, and results oriented - strong initiative; able to exercise sound judgement
