Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement the sales strategy for the UK&I market, aligned with the company's Country and Global overall business goals. Identify growth opportunities and create actionable plans to capitalize on them.
  • Team Management: Lead mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals. Set performance targets, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities. Use this information to inform sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Business Development: Drive new business development initiatives, focusing on acquiring high-value clients and expanding the company's footprint in the UK&I.
  • Sales Reporting: Oversee the preparation of regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Monitor spending and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to client management and service delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms that align with company goals and client expectations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all sales activities comply with legal requirements and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with sales operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: Experience of operating at a sales leadership position within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving significant sales growth and managing high-performance sales teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the logistics sector, across a multi-modal platform.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, with a focus on long-term growth and sustainability.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles related to sales, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Negotiation Skills: Expert in contract negotiation and closing high-value deals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
