About Our Client

Our client is a high growth challenger bank who are building out their treasury function in the capital management space. As the bank grows they are looking to increase their capital and are looking for people to be key players in achieving this.

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Head of Treasury as part of a team of 7.
  • Partnering with the financial planning and analysis team, performing stress testing in relation to capital adequacy.
  • Lead on developing the recovery plan and prepare the ICAAP for approval by the Head of Treasury.
  • Manage the bank's capital and liquidity risks.
  • Develop and implement treasury management strategies.
  • Communicate with regulatory bodies regarding capital requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Support the continuous improvement of treasury processes and systems.
  • Attend and present to ALCO and Risk Committees alongside the Head of Treasury.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant should have:

  • A background in banking or from a building society (ideally current role in this field)
  • Strong knowledge of ICAAP development
  • Understanding of capital adequacy and capital stress testing.
  • Excel skills int he form of look-ups.
  • Proficiency in risk management and regulatory compliance in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
