Job Description
The role of Transport Planner will involve:
- Collaborating with logistics, depot teams and customers to ensure efficient planning and allocation of resources.
- Coordinating with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Participating in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the logistics department.
- Ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identifying areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Transport Planner in Coventry should have:
- A solid background in logistics/transport planning.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
- Previous experience in heavy haulage logistics (desirable).
- Previous experience with weighbridge and vehicle weights (desirable)
- Must be commutable to Birmingham on a daily basis
