Job Description



  • Provide administrative support to conveyancing solicitors and fee earners.


  • Prepare and draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to property transactions.


  • Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, and client inquiries professionally.


  • Manage case files, including opening, maintaining, and closing files in line with compliance procedures.


  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.


  • Arrange property searches, Land Registry applications, and completion statements.


  • Diary management, including scheduling appointments and key dates.


  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant



  • Proven experience as a legal secretary, preferably within a conveyancing or property law department.


  • Excellent knowledge of conveyancing procedures and documentation.


  • Strong typing and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, case management systems).


  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.


  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.


  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
