Job Description

The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring measurably improved business processes that enable benefits to be realised. The postholder will clearly define requirements that enable seamless transition into development and test cycles within minimal rework or defects and develop solutions that address the requirements of the business. The collateral produced will enable teams to drive continuous improvement in their service area and the business analysis activities will be completed in line with agreed practice standards.

Duties of the role

  • Complete stakeholder analysis to scope and plan business analysis activities.
  • Lead the requirements management process through effective elicitation, validation and prioritisation, with clear and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Manage traceability of, change to and the refinement of requirements, identifying issues and omissions and escalating issues.
  • Work with operational teams, technical teams and solution vendors to translate business requirements in functional / technical specifications.
  • Define, analyse and improve business processes using best practice techniques to enable business efficiencies and improvements in service.
  • Produce artefacts as appropriate to meet the expected timescales, size and complexity. This may include: Process Taxonomies, Process Designs, Business Requirements Documents, Requirements Traceability matrices.
  • Support solution testing and business acceptance by ensuring requirements and business process are aligned with the solution design and testing scenarios.
  • Complete process impact assessments to inform training needs and change adoption plans.
  • Complete data gathering and produce consolidated and focused analysis to drive effective communication and decision making.
  • Build relationships and network internally and externally to build and develop knowledge and skills.
