Job Description

  • Manage VAT compliance and advisory matters for the company.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns on a timely basis.
  • Identify opportunities for VAT savings and process improvements.
  • Assist with VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities.
  • Provide VAT training to relevant staff within the company.
  • Stay informed about changes in VAT legislation and interpret their impact on the company.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure VAT compliance across the business.
  • Manage relationships with external VAT advisors and consultants.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Accountant (VAT) should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of VAT legislation and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the retail industry.
  • Proficiency in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
