Working as part of the Student Information team providing exceptional customer service to students and staff across all programmes. Act as first point of contact, providing general information on a range of non-academic queries and supporting to ensure students have a positive experience whilst at the University.

Job Description

  • To act as the first point of contact on campus for all face-to-face enquiries from students, staff or members of the public, ensuring that a prompt and professional response is given at all times.
  • Respond to enquiries through all communication channels, including face to face, phone, email, live chat and social media.
  • Provide information and support on a range of enquiries including those relating to new students transitioning to the campus and/or a new course, assessments, timetabling, print services and more.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of induction and enrolment activities. Lead the delivery of welcome events for incoming students (face to face and/or online).
  • To engage and work in accordance with the University's Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring that Student Information communications are of the highest quality and prepared in accordance with published guidelines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Student Information Officer should have:

  • Relevant experience in the provision of high quality customer service.
  • Experience of providing information, advice and guidance to individuals on a one-to-one basis.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good IT skills with the ability to effectively use MS Office suite (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook).
