In the UK, Safran Seats specializes solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams.Job Description* Be able to plan and manage own and a limited number of others stress activities for a specific program * Manages self and technically supports junior stress engineers to ensure tasks are completed to requirements of time, cost and quality * Assist with identifying certification test failure risk, an ensure it is managed effectively and minimized with the use of appropriate analytical methods and judgement * Prepare, review and approve hand calculations, linear static, non-linear, crash, multi-body dynamic and optimization FE models for seating products to support the design and certification process, plus the in-service life of the product * Identify structural design issues and recommend improvements and alternate solutions * Provide expertise in continuous improvement of department processes, methods and manuals * Be innovative in their approach to problem solving.
