The Senior Strategic buyer will be responsible for for the creation and updating of the multi Business Unit Target Purchasing Strategy (TPS) and to identify and implement cost saving opportunities within the Supply Chain to meet programme budgets.

Job Description

  • Lead procurement and supply chain initiatives within the organisation.
  • Develop strategic buying plans and execute them effectively.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best prices and quality.
  • Manage and mentor a team of junior buyers.
  • Monitor market trends and adapt buying strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and company standards in all procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Knowledge of strategic buying practices in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor a team.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • A keen eye for market trends and the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
