Job Description

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee month-end and yearend closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
  • Manage and improve internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audits.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial accounting - Charity SORP, including multi-currency group consolidation.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to align with organisational objectives.
  • Support the finance team with technical accounting guidance and mentorship.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven background in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Background in the not-for-profit sector is desirable but not essential.
