Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsMy client in Whiteley is looking for a Senior Finance Manager.Excellent salary and benefits (hybrid & bonus) to the successful candidate.About Our ClientMy client is an impressive financial services firm, operating in fund administration, that are going through an incredible growth period.This role will be based at the Whiteley offices, but they also have offices in London, Dublin, Luxembourg, Jersey and throughout the US.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities include:Managerial Oversight of accounting teamsPeople line managementResponsibility for the financial management of the teamEnsure team adherence to internal company proceduresDevelopment/enhancement of team specific proceduresAccounting Responsibility for a portfolio of clients (including complex and crown jewel clients)Reviewing and signing off on capital activity (drawdowns, distributions etc) and statementsManage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports by the teamEnsure financial statements prepared are in line with IFRS/UK GAAP or other appropriate standardsLiaise with auditors in respect of the financial audit of client entities as requiredAttend client meetings in respect of accounting matters as requiredNew Business Liaise with new clients, business introducers and intermediariesAssist with the client acceptance process for new clientsProject Management Leads and drives business change including driving adoption of FIS InvestranInvolvement with Group projects as either a member of a committee or as team leaderDevelopment of others Development of trainingCoach team in relation to client activities and Gen II proceduresCoach team in relation to time management, financial management and prioritisation skillsFinancial ManagementEnsure all clients invoiced correct frequency and correct amountMonitor and develop strategies to improve recoverability and profitabilityEnsure fee arrangements are appropriate and remain soMonitor and manage aged debts for teamThe Successful ApplicantQualificationsRecognised accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA)Sound academic backgroundExperience10 years' experience working within real estate or fund accountingCandidates moving out of chartered accountancy with extensive PE or Real Estate exposure would also be consideredComprehensive and detailed understanding and knowledge of the local finance industry legislation and regulatory requirements in which we operateExcellent understanding of client financial reportingPerformance management of a teamKnowledge Good knowledge and understanding of current industry, legislation and regulation and working practicesExceptional knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and a good understanding of other appropriate accounting standardsExperience of managingWhat's on OfferAn, excellent salary and benefits package is available to the successful candidate.
