Job Description

  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of educational programmes and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the secretarial and business support department.
  • Lead on the administration of assessment processes, including liaising with External Examiners and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Lead the delivery of assessment and examination processes including the delivery of examinations and the operation of Assessment Boards
  • Monitor and report on the progress of ongoing programmes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Contribute to the creation of educational materials and resources.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Education Officer should have:

  • Substantial experience of HE administration and of the processes of assessment, examination boards, and progression.
  • The ability to lead on production of award certificates and transcripts, maintaining student records and delivering an award verification service.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including the ability to manage complex databases and manipulate data.
  • Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector or educational field is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
