My client is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their growing team in West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-complexity drawings, as well as providing training and mentoring the more junior team members.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and testing engineering solutions
  • Collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and efficient
  • Analysing data to determine the effectiveness of current designs
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
  • Providing technical guidance to junior team members
  • Ensuring compliance with industry safety and design standards
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements in the field
  • Liaising with clients to understand their design requirements



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:

  • A hands-on background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Inventor CAD software and other design tools.
  • Passion for growing and developing both yourself and a team.
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, and an outside-the-box approach.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
