Job Description

  • Biopsychosocial admissions assessment.
  • Individualised treatment planning.
  • Facilitate individual and group / family therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
  • Continuing care teletherapy.
  • Other forms of therapy and weekend shift rota.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
  • Successful candidates will also be expected to co-ordinate all aspects of therapeutic care for patients including follow up with referral sources.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in psychotherapy to enhance clinical skills.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities to maintain and improve therapeutic techniques.

The Successful Applicant

  • A recognised qualification in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work, along with relevant accreditation from a professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP) as detailed below.
  • Proven experience in providing psychotherapy or counselling services in a clinical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on active listening.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and ethical guidelines governing practice.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training in the field of psychotherapy.
  • Registered member of an accrediting body (AP, COSCA, BACP and BABCP) and working towards accreditation.
  • Competency evaluated & can carry a full caseload - following an induction period.
  • Therapists will be supported towards the goal of achieving accreditation with training and supervision support.



Specific Level 4 Specialist Therapist Requirements:

  • Must be accredited with AP (NCAC), or BACP, BABCP, COSCA, (or registered with UKCP or HCPC), or recognised equivalent.
  • Specialist Therapists will be training and developing specialisms in problem specific competencies - e.g. CBT, DBT, EMDR, gambling, addiction, eating disorders. psychosocial admissions assessment.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week on site
  • 9am - 5pm working day (Monday - Friday)
  • Some weekends on rota
