About Our Client

Our client is an independent construction consultancy based in London, specialising in project management, cost consultancy, and related services. They are experiencing a period of growth, with plans to expand their London Project Management team from its current size of 9 to 20 in the next few years. They handle a diverse portfolio of projects, including Later Living (currently 50% of their portfolio), BTR, Private for Sale, PBSA, and a few aparthotel projects. They also manage commercial cut and carve and fit-out projects, ranging in value from £30m to £50m. They have recently seen the resurgence of 2 schemes that had been shelved, now revived post-refinancing.

Job Description

The Project Manager will work with a Senior Project Manager on a major account, encompassing up to 13 projects over the next 3-4 years. The role will also involve working on at least 2 other projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and executing projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Preparing and managing project budgets and timelines.
  • Implementing project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Identifying, tracking, and mitigating potential project risks.
  • Delivering regular project updates to senior management.
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Performing contract administration roles.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in managing new build projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager in a consultancy or client-side environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering quality projects.
