Job Description

This is a new role in the business which will be overseeing and optimising the company's Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Procurement operations. Implementing and maintaining efficient and effective processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, maximising inventory levels and ensuring strong customer service levels through effective planning.

  • Developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Leading the buying and sourcing team to ensure effective supplier relationships and the best value products
  • Overseeing budgeting and financial planning related to procurement
  • Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries and manage stock levels to optimise inventory turnover and minimise stockouts
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage stock levels
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team
  • Ensuring compliance with industry and company standards
  • Identifying and mitigating potential supply chain risks
  • Reporting on procurement and supply chain performance

The Successful Applicant

A Procurement & Supply Chain Manager with experience operating at a strategic level in a manufacturing company or distribution company & the following:

  • CIPS would be advantageous not essential
  • Strong forecasting and financial management skills
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management
  • Ability to identify and mitigate against potential supply chain risks
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
